Who are we looking for?
As the Sr. Systems Engineer you will report to the AVP of Infrastructure and will be supporting our cloud environments. You will design, develop and maintain cloud solutions based on Azure services and Microsoft 365. You will create and document practices and procedures, creating patterns to standardize the environment. You will be an expert in cloud offering, advising development teams and providing advanced troubleshooting when issues arise internally. You will also handle day-to-day support requests for the Infrastructure Team.
What will you do?
- Administer and maintain Windows servers, MS365 and other Azure infrastructure ensuring a secure and resilient environment.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements, coordinate efforts within the appropriate technology organizations, build and maintain technical diagrams and documentation.
- Infrastructure migration to Azure cloud: Lift and shift windows servers to Azure VMs or PaaS/SaaS model.
- Modernizing a multi domain AD forest. Implement new security guidelines to manage distributed AD domains and users.
- Monitoring and patch management.
- Handle issues escalated from L1/L2 support teams.
- Provide support on MS365 & Azure resources (Exchange, Entra, Intune, etc).
- Participate in security hardening and auditing reports.
- Participate in On-Call rotations.
- Other duties may be assigned.
This is an onsite position at our office in either San Diego, CA Dallas, TX or Charleston, SC.
What education and experience do you need?
A combination of the following education and experience factors will be considered:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field.
- 7+ Years support supporting Microsoft Enterprise environments (Active Directory & Exchange).
- 5+ years supporting MS365 applications.
- Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM.
- Experience with ticketing systems, assigning, and triaging cases.
- Strong technical ability and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to effectively communicate to employees in all levels of the organization.
- Able to efficiently prioritize support incidents and respond promptly, competently, and patiently.

What does the position pay:
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.
The expected range for this role is $130,000.00-$145,000.00 annual compensation. Please note this range is an estimate and actual may vary based on qualifications and experience.
