The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth East Orlando, a 265-bed community hospital, has been serving East Orlando residents since 1941 as an innovative local leader that fills a vital need in a fast-growing area. A recent 200,000 square-foot expansion project upgraded the hospital to 265 beds, with a spacious patient tower and 80 new private rooms designed to enhance the holistic care experience. Annual number of emergency cases: 89,018
The role you’ll contribute: The Lead Pharmacy Technician, working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, performs delegated duties, tasks and functions associated with the provision of pharmacy services within the hospital. In addition, the Lead Pharmacy Technician assists in supervising the activities of the pharmacy department's team of Pharmacy Technicians and assists in the maintenance of the pharmacy's operations.

Leads Technician Shift Operations
- Maintains appreciation for competency to perform technician duties and roles as needed
- Prioritizes work load, organizes work flow, and checks accuracy of pharmacy technician activities
- Provides patient-centered care services
- Collaborates with other pharmacy staff
- Collaborates with care providers and pharmacists to optimize and improve services
- Participates in departmental meetings and educational activities
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School Grad or Equivalent and 3 years experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in a physical science, business or healthcare
- Leadership experience
- Practice experience in an integrated health care system of three or more hospitals in the system
- Data Analysis experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
• PTCB - Certified Pharmacy Technician
• Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician
• Sterile Compounding Certification, if applicable per state legislation
• Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT)
