The Behavioral Health Program Manager position is critical to the success of the clinical operations team in standardizing and implementing cohesive processes within Optum Behavioral Care. This position assists the Director in creating effective job aids, quick reference guides, SOPs, and other essential tasks as designated by the Director of Clinical Operations. The Behavioral Health Program Manager assists the Director with oversight of quality clinical care, utilization, and standardization of clinical operations within Optum Behavioral Care.
The Behavioral Health Program Manager is a non-client facing, individual contributor. Up to 10% travel may be required. The schedule is Monday through Friday during standard East Coast business hours. Residency in the East Coast is not required.

Primary Responsibilities
- Create high-quality job aids and quick reference guides for standardized clinical operations as designated by the Director
- Assist with foundational build needs for clinical operations on Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Thrive in an environment of collaboration with team members to meet the needs of clinical providers and staff within Optum Behavioral Care
- Contribute to forward-thinking strategic plans to promote successful business and clinical operations within Optum Behavioral Care clinics
- Manage detail-oriented tasks / data sets accurately and in a timely fashion
- Adapt quickly to an evolving environment and promote positive change management skills with center-level staff and Regional Vice Presidents
- Assists efforts to meet or exceed clinical quality and client satisfaction goals on NPS
- Participate on committees and task forces involving departmental staff. Represent clinical operations needs in intra- and inter-departmental committees and problem focus-groups.
- Assist with the development and implementation of scalable, standardized procedures that have a positive impact on utilization management and provider satisfaction
- Ensure that department goals are communicated clearly to appropriate stakeholders and that goals are met or exceeded through team efforts

Required Qualifications - One of the following:
- Independently licensed master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related counseling field
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- 5+ years of clinical experience in behavioral health
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 with the ability to:
- Filter, sort, manipulate, and update data in Excel
- Create a presentation in PowerPoint without assistance
- Manage and prioritize a large volume of emails in Outlook
- Map out workflows, write SOPs, and create professionally-worded job aids based on templates
- Access to high speed internet and a dedicated, distraction-free workspace at home
Preferred Qualification
- Project management experience
- Demonstrated organizational and decision-making skills to move projects forward
- Proven ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities and quickly adapt to change

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
