About The Role
Ecolab is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the integration of Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) with a focus on business process analysis, system documentation, and technical collaboration. While this is primarily a business-facing role, it also requires working closely with technical teams, developers, and system architects to ensure smooth system integrations and data exchanges and requires technical competency.
This person will play a key role in defining data needs, system workflows, and integration requirements, working across business and IT teams to align system capabilities with operational goals. ERP implementation experience (any platform) is required, and familiarity with any ERP and IBMi (AS/400) would be a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and document business processes, system requirements, and data flows to support the integration of Ecolab's Enterprise Business Systems (EBS).
- Responsible for understanding the technology, business processes and opportunities in the context of the technical and business requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. This includes working as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, document and validate requirements for changes to business processes, revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary, policies and information systems as well as ensuring testing requirements are met and documenting business requirements.
- Specializations within this family include (but are not limited to): SAP/ERP, Functional, Global Business Office, Tools, Disaster Recovery, Metrics Communication, and Methodology
- Work closely with developers, system architects, and IT teams to define integration points and ensure seamless data exchange across systems.
- Facilitate cross-system data mappings, workflows, and business logic between IBMi and other enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify system needs, translate business requirements into functional specifications, and support implementation efforts.
- Ensure all project requirements are met, coordinating between technical and business teams to address gaps and optimize processes.
- Assist with testing, validation, and troubleshooting during the implementation process to ensure successful adoption.
- Provide documentation and training materials, ensuring end-users and IT teams understand system functionality and workflows.
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with experience in enterprise system integrations and ERP implementations (any platform).
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience supporting technical teams in large-scale enterprise software transitions or system integrations.
- Familiarity with API-based integrations, middleware solutions, or enterprise data workflows.
- Strong background in business process analysis, workflow mapping, and system documentation.
- Experience working with IT teams, developers, and system architects to support technical integrations and data exchanges.
- Understanding of data flow processes, system communication protocols, and technical requirements gathering.
- Strong collaboration skills, working with both business and IT teams to ensure alignment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in process optimization and business transformation projects.
- Familiarity with IBMi (AS/400)
- Experience with Mulesoft or SAP
