Job Summary: ScriptPro is seeking a Software Engineer skilled in SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in SAP BI development, experience in designing and implementing BI solutions, and the ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders and technical teams. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining all aspects of the SAP BI solutions, including reports, dashboards, and other data visualization tools, to supporting business analytics and decision-making processes. This position will also support the ScriptPro Business Objects reporting portal including responsibility for vendor interaction, system installation and upgrades, and complete server administration.
Reporting Relationship: Business Intelligence Lead
Shift: Generally, Monday through Friday 8 am – 5pm CST. This is a hybrid position; combination of in office and remote. Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro.
Scope of the Role:
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data analysis and reporting needs, and design SAP BI solutions to meet those requirements
- Design and deliver reports in a Crystal Reports (CR) and Business Objects 4.3 (BO) environment
- Develop, maintain, document and manage BI Solutions using the Business Objects ecosystem components (CR for Enterprise, Web Intelligence (WebI), Dashboards, Publications, Universes, SDK, etc.)
- Install, Configure, and patch BO production servers and maintain development, production and test environments
- Coordinate all report requests and plan/execute unit, integration and user acceptance testing
- Maintain a high level of development turn-around and support to business users for report requests
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors in computer science/engineering or a related discipline or equivalent work experience in application and/or database development
- 6+ years’ experience in application and/or database development
- 5+ years’ experience in Crystal Enterprise Report (preferably in BO environment) design, development, administration, and maintenance
- Strong experience with querying languages and ETL practices (SQL, PL/SQL, SSIS, etc.)
- Detailed understanding of BO WebI and Universe development
- Understanding of how to administer and support a production Business Objects environment
- Good communication and analysis skills
- Experience translating business requirements into workable reports and dashboards
- Experience validating report output
- A background in business requirements gathering
- Strong customer service orientation
- Interpersonal skills and ability to listen effectively and translate requirements in to report design
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SQL and schemas from Oracle EBS and Siebel CRM
- Web software development experience including HTML 5, CSS, Java, etc.
- Oracle Application Express (APEX)
- Experience with additional reporting development tools (Tableau, BI Publisher, Lumira, etc.)
- Java/Unix/Linux/Shell scripting ability
- Previous experience in an IT role doing development on a non-reporting solution
- Experience with the Siebel integration kit for Crystal
Remote Work Requirements:
- Must have high-speed reliable internet access with a hard-wired connection

Working Conditions:
This position operates in an office environment. Routine use of standard office equipment is required. Must be able to use a computer for extended periods of time. Ability to learn and solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions is required.
