Job Summary: The Learning Resources Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining resources used by the Learning and Development team, including training and test labs and technical documentation for new and existing ScriptPro products. As a member of the Learning and Development team, this position also works closely with the digital learning team for the creation and maintenance of eLearning courses and other technical content.
Reporting Relationship: Manager, Learning Resources
Shift: Generally, Monday through Friday 8-5 pm CST. This is a hybrid position; mix of in office and remote. Regular, punctual, and predictable attendance is an essential function of every job at ScriptPro.
Scope of the Role:
- Design, build, and maintain test and training systems, ensuring they are fully operational, up-to-date, and aligned with training and testing requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth system operation.
- Work with subject matter experts and trainers to identify and implement necessary system upgrades, tools, or resources to enhance training and testing capabilities. Develop and enhance tools to monitor systems, automate training and/or simulation setup, and proactively identify system needs.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including training guides, system specifications, and troubleshooting procedures. Collaborate with technical teams, engineers, and subject matter experts to gather information, validate content, and ensure technical details are properly documented.
- Design and develop engaging and interactive eLearning courses focused on specialized topics, systems, and tools using industry-standard eLearning tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Camtasia). Collaborate with SMEs to ensure accuracy and relevance of course content in complex technical and proprietary domains.
- Review and revise technical documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and usability, including manufacturing procedures and scheduled quality assurance audits of Learning and Development technical documentation.
- Continuously assess and improve effectiveness of training resources, incorporating training and learner feedback and performance data to refine systems and materials.
- Provide backup support for Knowledge Base, Sprout, and ScriptPro Learning administration. Troubleshoot issues and assist with upgrades and development, as needed.

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with ScriptPro products and IT infrastructure.
- Basic understanding and/or willingness to learn systems administration, networking, client/server applications and hardware configuration, desktop and peripheral troubleshooting for lab management.
- Experience in creating eLearning courses, interactive content, and multimedia (video/audio) for training purposes and an understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing technical documentation and eLearning materials for complex systems or processes.
- Proficiency in eLearning development tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear terms.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess and improve processes and procedures.
- Detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
- Demonstrated self-motivation with the ability to independently manage, prioritize multiple tasks, and identify and recommend areas for improvement.

Working Conditions:
This position operates in an office environment. Routine use of standard office equipment is required. Must be able to use a computer for extended periods of time. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, and expected to occasionally lift, stoop, bend, and reach. Ability to learn and solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions is required.
