The Senior Manager of Social Responsibility at Amneal will lead initiatives to foster an inclusive workplace and supply chain while strengthening community relationships. This role is pivotal in aligning the company's social responsibility efforts with organizational goals and the unique needs of the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. Key responsibilities include implementing community engagement strategies to address health equity, managing product donation initiatives, and overseeing the employee disaster relief fund. The position also supports DEI programs, champions employee resource groups, and advances supplier diversity and human rights standards in the supply chain. Additionally, the manager will develop and promote volunteer programs to maximize employee participation in community service initiatives.
Essential Functions:
- Champion employee resource groups (ERGs) and other internal networks that foster inclusion, engagement, and professional development for diverse talent. Support the development and execution of DEI programs that ensure Amneal’s workforce reflects the diverse communities it serves.
- Implement community engagement strategies that align with the company’s commitment to improving health equity and addressing the needs of underserved communities. Work closely with public health organizations, advocacy groups, patient advocacy organizations and community organizations to identify opportunities for the company to support access initiatives. Organize and support community events, partnerships, and educational initiatives that focus on improving healthcare access and advancing health equity.
- Develop and oversee policies and programs to ensure alignment with international human rights standards across operations and supply chains. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote awareness, training, and continuous improvement in human rights initiatives. Develop and implement strategies to track and enhance supplier diversity by supporting business objectives and promoting inclusion across the supply chain.
- Collaborate with HR and internal teams to promote volunteer opportunities, organize volunteer events, and provide resources to employees to maximize engagement and impact. Develop and manage company-wide volunteer programs that encourage employee participation in community service and charitable initiatives. Lead the strategy and execution of product donation initiatives that align with the company’s mission to improve global health outcomes and support underserved communities. Manage the company’s employee disaster relief fund in partnership with the Benefits team.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) Social Sciences, Public Health, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. - Required
- Master Degree (MS/MA) A Master’s degree in a relevant area is preferred. - Preferred
Experience:
- 5 years or more in Experience in corporate social responsibility (CSR), preferably within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
- 5 years or more in Experience working with diverse community stakeholders, healthcare organizations, and government bodies.
- 5 years or more in Proven experience leading and implementing community-based outreach and employee programs.
Skills:
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization. - Advanced
- Strong project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to oversee multiple initiatives, manage budgets, and meet deadlines. - Intermediate
- Data-driven, with the ability to collect, analyze, and report on DEI and community engagement outcomes to inform decision-making. - Intermediate
- High level of cultural competence and a commitment to understanding and addressing the needs of diverse populations in the healthcare space. - Intermediate
Specialized Knowledge:
- A strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory requirements, and public health challenges
