Summary of Position:
As part of the software development team, you will contribute to the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) process for new feature developments, software issue resolutions, and customer-specific software customizations. Other responsibilities will include test plan management, test suite management ensuring thorough test case coverage, and automated test development for assigned projects.
Essential Functions:
- Design and document test plans
- Create test suites and testing estimations
- Create, revise, execute, and document test cases
- Perform smoke, functional, regression, stress, and exploratory testing
- Document software defects using an issue tracking system such as Azure DevOps
- Report test progress status
- Participate in product design reviews
- Develop and implement automated test suites
- Confirm software is being developed according to pre-defined design requirements
- Confirm test plans have appropriate test case coverage
- Perform related duties as assigned
Competencies:
- Test definition, document writing, issue tracking
- Unit test, Functional test, Regression test, System Integration test
- Microsoft Team Foundation Server and/or Microsoft Azure DevOps
- Microsoft Visual Studio
- C#, .NET, Java
- SQL Server and relational databases
- Experience with test automation
- Strong communication skills and technical writing experience
- Familiarity with automation technology such as robotics, PLC’s mechanical actuators, and vision systems is a plus
- Experience in healthcare industry is a plus
Education and Experience:
- Computer Engineering Degree, Computer Science Degree, or Technical College Degree with relevant work experience
- Experience with automated test development
- 3+ years of SQA experience
