Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time World Science Teacher to join a vibrant educational community in Bloomfield, CT. This position is contracted through Soliant Education and offers a unique opportunity to teach studentsacross various disciplines within the world of science, including earth science, environmental science, and global scientific issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state and national science standards.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Assess student progress through a variety of methods and provide constructive feedback to support learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the world science curriculum and integrate interdisciplinary projects.
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, and school staff to foster a supportive educational environment.
- Stay updated on best practices in science education and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Education or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Valid Connecticut teaching certification in Science.
- Strong knowledge of scientific concepts and effective teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with diverse learning styles and differentiated instruction is a plus.
