Responsibilities
- Assist with administrative duties within the Human Resources Department.
- Process employment applications and maintain tracking log; assist in scheduling interviews and pre-employment testing
- Administer employee engagement activities.
- Assist implementation and management of EH&S programs, policies and procedures
- Update Applicant Tracking System with new hires; off-board terminated employees
- Prepare and conduct training
- Conduct new hire orientations
- Maintain weekly manpower schedule; Update Kronos with shift changes (audit records)
- Run weekly attendance reports and administer write ups
- Assist and motivate with completion of required training courses.
- Administer HRIS system changes.
- Assist with employee benefit issues
- Assist on various HR special projects; participate on a team.
- Maintain employee files
- Assist with walk in questions
- Participate in plant and departmental meetings.
- Serve as back up to HR Generalist and HR Manager
- Identify hazardous conditions within the plant and recommend corrective measures
- Investigate and prepare presentations for incidents and property losses
- Assist with Management of Change reviews on production equipment and processes
- Review, electronically file, and maintain SDS sheets
- Conduct safety risk assessments
- Conduct safety walks
- Conduct Regulatory Inspections
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

General Education High School Diploma with a minimum of three (3) years similar Human Resources position. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience is preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employee policies and procedures, handbooks, and benefit information. Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft software and Human Resource systems.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must be detail-oriented and able to complete multiple tasks simultaneously. Working knowledge of labor laws and requirements preferred. Ability to work with confidential information
