The McKesson Corporate Accounts Payable team is hiring an Accounts Payable – Payments Analyst Lead in Irving TX.
Position Description
The Accounts Payable – Payments Analyst Lead will support the processing of vendor payments for goods and services on a timely basis and respond to stakeholder queries. They will assist their manager in developing and evaluating policies and procedures and will ensure external and internal controls and policies are adhered to. As team lead, this role will oversee and delegate daily workflows to team members, both local and virtual, as well as resolve escalations. The team lead will manage and coordinate current and future optimization projects. The right candidate will be extremely detail oriented in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment, with the ability to provide timely and concise communication to leadership. This position will report to the Corporate Payments Senior Manager and will work in conjunction with our corporate Treasury team.
Key Responsibilities
Perform AP Processes
- Manage daily workflow volumes, direct team members on execution against KPI’s and SLA’s
- Collaborate with internal McKesson stakeholders outside of Corporate Payables to execute process improvement
- Act as an SME and assist team members with ad hoc requests
- Identify and initiate process improvement projects based on root cause analysis
- Primary point of contact with Treasury team members
Stakeholder Engagements
- Manage Level II escalations that cannot be resolved by the team
- Generate and analyze business reports to establish best practices for process execution
- Support service providers’ activities on a daily basis
- Communicate and influence internal and external teams diplomatically to enforce deadlines
- Manage escalations from customers while looking for ways to improve upon established processes
Leadership
- Work closely with manager to achieve business objectives
- Update leadership regularly on business processes, opportunities, and performance concerns
- Participate in all necessary meetings and/or lead meetings on behalf of manager
- Perform quality checks on associate work to maintain a high level of performance
Minimum Requirements
Degree, or equivalent, and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.
Required Business Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in a formal business environment
- Demonstrated attention to detail and follow-through
- Consultative approach to problem-solving and project management
- Effective written and oral communication skills, with a variety of stakeholders
General Knowledge And Skills
- Preferred experience in a disbursements or Treasury organization
- Ability to understand strategic changes to the business and its consequences
- Strong organizational skills are critical
- Time management, including ability to organize and prioritize work to consistently meet critical and/or conflicting daily deadlines while ensuring the highest level of accuracy
- Proficient with MS Excel and MS Word
- Able to create simple and improve moderately complex Excel templates
- Proven ability to research, analyze and problem solve
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, flexible and adaptive to changes in the business
- Ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external business partners. Ability to influence a diverse set of stakeholders
- Familiarity with NACHA Audit Rules is considered an advantage
Education
A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is desired, or equivalent work experience in a related field.
Environment
Traditional office requirements. Large percentage of time performing computer-based work is required.
