How will you make an impact?
Students will be matched to projects based on their abilities and current business needs. All projects will have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business to which they are assigned.
Projects may include the following responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, simulation, and optimization of ion sources for FIB systems.
- Conduct experiments using dual-beam microscopes to test and validate the performance of ion sources.
- Develop and implement automation protocols for experimental procedures and data acquisition to enhance efficiency and accuracy in testing processes.
- Analyze experimental data to evaluate the FIB performance, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the development of new methodologies.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations on findings, methodologies, and proposed improvements.
Compensation & Relocation: Our Research & Development co-ops offer an hourly rate between $21.50 - $35 dependent upon the location you are supporting (aligned to respective cost-of-living guidelines). Additionally, a relocation stipend is offered in the amount of $5,000 if necessary. Student must be located 50+ miles away from the physical location of co-op to be eligible for the relocation stipend.
How will you get here?
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
- Demonstrated laboratory experience and hands-on skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
