We are currently seeking a Robotics Engineer to develop innovative robotic solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety across the Clinical Trials Division (CTD). The Robotics Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and assisting with implementation of robotic systems and solutions at CTD sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in robotics, mechatronics, and automation, with a proven record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robotic systems and components, including hardware and software integration.
- Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and prototyping to validate design concepts.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define project requirements, specifications, and timelines. Participate in design reviews, project meetings, and technical discussions. Ensure alignment to timelines and budgetary guidelines.
- Implement control algorithms and software for robotic systems, ensuring efficient performance and reliability.
- Perform detailed analysis and testing of robotic systems to identify and resolve any issues.
- Prepare user documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in robotics and automation technologies. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.
- Monitor performance of newly deployed systems and provide technical support and mentorship to site level engineers and technicians.
- Interact with clients to showcase automation capabilities and develop customized solutions to meet client needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience (3+ years) in robotics or engineering.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and logical control systems.
- Familiarity with programming languages, robotic simulation tools / software, and CAD software for mechanical design.
- Analytical skills to develop designs and interpret test results
- Problem-solving skills to identify problems and uncover solutions while troubleshooting
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and to explain complex terms to individuals who lack expertise as well as compose clear manuals and instructions
- Time management skills to reach design process milestones within given timelines
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to robotics.
