Job Responsibilities
Primary duties are serving as a highly trained, versatile member of the team, able to fill any departmental position as required by supervision.
Be trained on and operate various units of heavy machinery safely, efficiently and in adherence to all standards established by Baxter Cleveland.
Train and mentor new employees on department equipment and procedures.
Perform minor maintenance and assist in major repairs and changeovers.
Assist the Production Technicians during batch change.
Serve as experts in their given area.
Perform quality checks or inspections as required.
Must be willing to rotate among various tasks within the department.
Perform custodial and general housekeeping functions to keep a clean working environment.
Any duties unique to assigned department.
Work in a clean room environment.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds repetitively (packing area only).
Ability to lift 3 pounds above the shoulder repetitively (packing area only).
Operate a forklift and/or worksaver depending on departmental requirements.
Able to stand and/or bend over for long periods of time.
Ability to climb over ladders.
Audiometric testing will be conducted prior to hiring.
Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.
Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Background operating machinery preferred.
Forklift experience preferred.
