Operations Manager
Reports to: Facility Manager
Classifications: Exempt
SUMMARY
The Operations Manager is responsible for leading the facility and employees, oversee drivers and their collection routes to ensure customer collections are managed in a safe and efficient manner. The individual will schedule customer routes and communicate deadlines to the drivers. The Operations Manager is required to comply with all safety and quality policies and procedures as defined by Trilogy MedWaste to include but not limited to: DOH, DOT, OSHA standards and general housekeeping practices. The Operation Manager will interact with customers, employees, and regulatory representatives. In every case, this individual must present themselves with the professionalism and discretion appropriate for each interactive situation.

Salary range $55k - $60K annually
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the following functions: operations and transportation, planning/scheduling, maintenance, safety, quality.
- Launch, plan, and supervise the day-to-day onsite operations of your specific area and personnel
- Monitor inventory of supplies needed, including safety gear, warehouse supplies, and office supplies
- Oversees truck maintenance plan with lease company
- Oversee maintenance for plant equipment
- Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company, OSHA, and other standards and regulations
- Ensures thorough root cause investigations for all injuries and incidents, following-up with consistent discipline and retraining
- Conduct onsite and mobile observations for improved safety and productivity
- Supervise proper flow of paperwork with ops specialists
- Formulates both short-term and long-term goals and action plans in conjunction with the district manager
- Interacts with customers as needed, including some site visits
- Engages suppliers in problem solving and participates in suppliers’ improvement processes by providing performance feedback on supplier surveys.
- Serve as a back-up to drivers when needed
- Other tasks and responsibilities as needed or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- 3+ years of warehouse management is preferred
- 2+ years of experience in medical waste is preferred
- Must have a good driving record within 3 years; no accident reported
- Must have excellent customer service skills with other employees, customers and regulators
- Must understand how to use computer for data entry
- Must be able to use software app on mobile phone for manifest documentation
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Demonstrates problem solving skills
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
- Able to work an agreed upon standard schedule
- Additional hours as job duties demand
TRAVEL - OTHER
- Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities when necessary (less than 10%)
- Must have a current, valid driver's license
- Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy
