Meet The Team
The Corporate Development team at Dexcom is pivotal in driving our strategic growth and long-term success. This team identifies and evaluates potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and investment opportunities to enhance the company's market position and financial performance. With the launch of the first over-the-counter glucose biosensor this year, we have an opportunity to help Dexcom define how we play in this exciting new market.
The Senior Director of Corporate Development plays a crucial leadership role, overseeing the entire lifecycle of strategic initiatives. This person will lead large cross-functional teams, manage external consulting teams, conduct thorough due diligence, negotiate deals, and ensure seamless integration of new ventures. This person’s expertise and strategic vision are essential in navigating complex business landscapes and fostering sustainable growth. This role is an expansion to our current team and will focus on the consumer health / digital health opportunities.
Where You Come In
- Acquisitions: Identify, evaluate, and execute M&A opportunities to drive growth and enhance market position.
- Partnerships and Ventures: Forge strategic partnerships and structured investments to expand the company's capabilities and market reach.
- Due Diligence: Lead comprehensive due diligence processes to assess the financial, operational, and strategic fit of potential deals.
- Negotiations: Negotiate terms and conditions of transactions to ensure favorable outcomes for the company.
- Integration Management: Oversee the integration planning for acquired companies or assets, ensuring smooth transitions to the appropriate functional teams.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with various departments, including commercial, R&D, legal, clinical/regulatory, operations and finance to support strategic initiatives.
- Strategy and Market Analysis: Collaborate with Corporate Strategy team members to “tell the story” for deals. Ensure quality market research and competitive analysis is conducted to frame the target being evaluated, including identifying trends, opportunities, and threats in the industry. Ensure the proposed transactions align with the company's long-term goals.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with the leaders in key functions to develop a deep understanding of the company’s key objectives and business risks. Communicate clearly with stakeholders to build early alignment and understanding of deal opportunities.

- You have a proven ability solving complex problems: You have demonstrated the ability to navigate and resolve complex business challenges and obstacles.
- You bring a high level of curiosity and ability to ask good questions: Your desire to learn quickly and manage large volumes of new information about diabetes and related conditions, technology, regulations, intellectual property, and many other topics is a must to be successful here.
- You have relevant industry experience: Your experience and familiarity with the medical technology, digital health and/or consumer tech industries is preferred.

Experience And Education Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 17+ years of industry experience
- 13+ years of successful leadership experience in relevant industry
