This is position is based at our Patch Rubber facilities in Weldon, North Carolina
Position Summary
As determined by the Plant Manager, this individual directly manages the Production Supervisors, Maintenance Manager and other key plant operational staff.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Coordinate personnel structure and staffing levels to accomplish the production of product.
- Oversees that the Production Supervisors plan and coordinate work, train, motivate, monitor, and evaluate performance of production operators; ensures their ability to safely operate equipment; counsels and disciplines as necessary.
- Develops Production Supervisors, Maintenance Manager, Set-Up/Tooling Manager and Process Tech Supervisor to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned employees.
- Oversees that necessary adjustments on injection molding machines are made to produce quality products safely to acceptable standards.
- Coordinates with Set-Up/Tooling Manager to schedule and perform insert changes and preventative maintenance on molds.
- Monitors and measures production against production standards for shift.
- Interaction with other departments and molding facilities in scheduling of machinery and resources.
- Active role with new product testing and interaction with external suppliers
- Expansion of decision-making role in daily manufacturing operations, and responsible for optimizing plant capacity.
- Provides analysis and recommended solutions to the manufacturing process.
- Research and study advanced technology and manufacturing procedures in relation to department
- Maintain and continue to improve 6S within the facility.
- Serves as a member of the Springfield Environmental Management Team which has oversight responsibility of the Environmental Management System.
- Works safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following policies and OSHA Standards
- Actively participates on the Safety Steering Committee
Education and Experience
- Associate's or bachelor’s degree; required.
- 5- 10 years years’ related experience and/or training; preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience; required.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills required.
- Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills required.
- Must be self-motivated, take ownership of projects, and work efficiently to meet short timelines.
- Lean-focused experience
- Rubber/Polymer background strongly preferred
- Must possess strong project management skills and the ability to drive projects independently; required.
- Experience budgeting using financial data to make decisions, reviewing performance via metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity)
- Proficient computer skills and an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office required.

- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals and maintenance manuals.
