Lead and manage the Preclinical and Clinical Services (P&CS) customer facing team toward the accomplishments of P&CS business objectives. Duties include:
- Develop P&CS business plans, including business objectives, growth strategies, and structures to support the strategies.
- Develop value propositions to customers and prospects of P&CS.
- Monitor and improve the competitiveness of P&CS positioning and develop effective strategies and approaches against major competitors.
- Ensure that P&CS personnel are hired and trained to perform their jobs effectively.
- Develop performance metrics and schedule weekly or bi-weekly one-on-one meetings to provide feedback to key team members.
- Engage other interdependent groups such as Sales & Marketing, PM, and BD to market and sell P&CS services.
- Develop and refine pricing models for P&CS services, incorporating cost analysis data and market insights.
- Review and assess large dollar amount contracts for P&CS, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and business requirements.

Requirements:
Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Biology, Cell and Developmental Biology, or related life sciences field plus 4 years of experience working in a regulated environment adhering to the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and/or Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) / Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Experience must include the following, which may be gained concurrently:
3 years of experience delivering preclinical and clinical NGS solutions for customers, including technical consultations, proposal generation, and business contracting. 3 years of experience providing technical expertise and knowledge to sales teams and customers. 2 years of experience developing and delivering Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) solutions in the life sciences industry. 2 years of experience leading NGS research projects, overseeing each step of the project from sample preparation to sequencing and analysis. 2 years of experience providing technical consultations for complex projects including single cell sequencing, targeted sequencing, CRISPR validation, immunogenomics, and long reads sequencing. 2 years of experience conducting preanalytical processing for preclinical and clinical DNA and RNA samples from various species and tissue type. 2 years of experience training and leading a customer relationship management team.
