The Role
We are seeking a Senior IT Analyst – Software Development for internal enhancements and to develop code for core applications. Design, Develop, and Implement AWS and Microsoft .NET technologies as specified in technical specifications/software design documentation.
This is a remote opportunity.
The Responsibilities
- Follow standards outlined in the SDLC process
- Perform business logic, code analysis, and test cases.
- Analyse and propose data models and logical designs for enterprise applications.
- Analyse application performance from an architecture standpoint.
- Design Database schemas
- Develop Web services using Web API and plugins
- REST API, WCF, and .Net core services to performed multiple application communication with the Database
- Enhance existing Web Services as to fit to new requirements.
- Implement Client Side scripting using JavaScript and jQuery.
- JavaScript selectors uses for the HTML and CSS features.
- Responsive UI design and Server-side code development
- Prepare software design from the requirement specification is done in the design phase.
- Maintain stability and performance of platform developed on Microsoft.NET Framework and/or different technologies.
- Use Microsoft .NET Technologies and SQL to troubleshoot production issues, implement short term break/fix solutions, and participate in continual improvement.
- Prod Support for the bugs/issues open through service now.
- Work through the bugs to promote them to PROD in a break fix.
- Provide unit testing requirement and assist QA in unit testing deliverables.
- Unit test implemented functionality with mock up data, prepare the unit test documentation with all the positive and negative scenarios.
- Deliver software solutions for end users in accordance with coding standards, organizational standards, and project delivery timelines in collaboration with project management team.
- Involvement in Dev meetings for the technical reviews and updates of latest technologies
- Maintain technology acumen by staying current with latest technologies for web, mobile, and cloud development.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
The Individual
- Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in computer science or engineering or related field.
- 5 years in the job offered or as a Software Developer, Web Developer or related occupation in an ISO regulated environment
Preferred
- 5 years of experience utilizing Microsoft .NET
- 5 years of experience utilizing SQL
- 4 years of experience utilizing Web services
- 1 year of experience utilizing Cloud (Azure / AWS)

- This position interacts with all areas and levels of the company, including Senior Executives, Managers, Scientists, Business leads Factory workers.

The Work Environment
30% of time in meetings, working with team, or talking on the phone, 70% of the time at the desk on computer, doing analytical work. Minimal travel required. Travel includes airplane, automobile travel and overnight hotel.
Physical Demands
No strenuous physical activity. 10% of time meeting with people; 70% of the time at the desk on computer/doing paperwork/on phones; 20% of the time talking with visitors. Flexible work hours may be needed at times to meet project deadlines. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Walking, standing, and sitting for long periods of time are routine to accomplish tasks in this role. Works for long periods of time in sitting position using computer, keyboard and mouse.
Salary Transparency
The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $110,000. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
