This individual will function as a coding, billing, reimbursement, and regulatory policy subject matter expert. Applicant must apply expertise in current risk adjustment methodology, HCC coding and auditing, and ICD-10-CM coding.

Primary Responsibilities
- Review and update content, in various formats, related to CMS, ESRD, Rx, and HHS risk adjustment models
- Understand and translate ICD-10-CM coding guidelines and conventions
- Work in conjunction with other team members to ensure an accuracy rate of 100%
- Demonstrate initiative and judgement in performance of job responsibilities
- Be able to multitask and know when to re-prioritize assignments/projects based on content effective dates and regulatory update processes

Required Qualifications - Must have, and maintain, at least one of the following professional certifications:
- 5+ years of risk adjustment coding and/or auditing experience
- Experience with writing defensible coding content utilizing recognized sources such as: Official Coding Guidelines, Coding Clinic, and Medicare Advantage Announcements and Documents
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with large amounts of data
- Experience with Encoder tools
- Experience with Microsoft office tools

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
