Seeking a dynamic, goal-oriented Research Consultant to work on health and human services projects requiring quantitative and qualitative skills.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Daily client interaction and prioritization of deliverables/timelines
- Effective client communication
- Perform fast-paced ad-hoc analysis to quickly address client needs
- Maintain a consistently high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
- Work effectively and cooperatively as a member of a project team
- Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed
- Works with less structured, more complex issues and serves as a resource to others
- Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements
- Works with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
- Translates concepts into practice
- Acts as a resource for others with less experience
- Directly support the expansion and implementation efforts of the Veteran Directed Care Program
- Provide technical assistance to Director of Purchased Long Term Services and Supports
- Conduct national program calls to field staff within the VA to deliver training materials and answer program implementation questions
- Conduct quantitative analysis of targeted data research, collection, and report preparation

Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university and 2+ years of experience performing health policy analysis, overseeing day-to-day management of project tasks, and preparing presentations and reports for clients
- Or a Master’s degree from an accredited college/university
- Experience conducting analysis to inform health policy
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare concepts
- Experience preparing presentations and reports
- Demonstrated aptitude for interpreting data outputs and articulating findings
- Interest in healthcare or public policy
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office—Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Health or related field
- Familiarity with Veterans, caregiver support, participant directed services, or respite care
- Experience working effectively as a member of a project team
- Experience with other software such as Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VBA)
- Healthcare or human services research experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate analyses and findings to clients
- Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
