The Role
Join the Quantitative Sciences department in our mission to democratize impactful and high-quality data solutions across CMC functions, enabling data-driven decisions that advance the development and manufacturing of mRNA medicines. In this position within the CMC Data Science group, you will lead process data-driven projects for Individualized Neoantigen Therapies, working closely with stakeholders in Digital, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Science and Technology, and Technical Development. Focus areas will include but not be limited to process monitoring advancement, operational and predictive models, and near real time tools for statistical analysis and data visualization.
The ideal candidate will digitize everywhere to bring quantitative solutions to life, acting as a bridge between technical challenges and digital solutions. They will communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with both digital enablement teams and operations focused teams to ensure seamless integration and execution. They will play a key role in championing data-driven strategies and best practices to foster a culture where data is central to decision-making processes.
Here’s What You’ll Do
- Represent the CMC data science organization by partnering with Individualized Neoantigen Therapy operations to enable data driven business processes and analysis
- Lead the successful implementation of new process analytics tools through cross-functional collaboration focused on requirements, design, and maintenance
- Advance and streamline automated process monitoring and CPV methodology
- Develop and maintain operational and investigational models to support manufacturing and development activities utilizing multivariate and machine learning techniques
- Champion best practices organizationally in the data creation, pipelining, and utilization lifecycle
- Provide SME knowledge for tool development and investigational support including advanced data manipulation, visualization, modeling, and interpretation
- Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time
Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)
- MS/PhD in a quantitative or scientific discipline (e.g. engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science) with 1-3+ (PhD), 4-6+ (MS) or 6-8+ (BS) years of relevant data science/analytics experience in the biopharmaceutical industry
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
- Meaningful experience deploying robust pipelines utilizing living data sources and cloud-based data warehouse technology
- Deep understanding of control charts, process capability, multivariate analysis, and regression modeling
- Advanced skill with programming languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) and statistical software packages (JMP, Statistica, Minitab, etc.)
- Experienced with business informatics tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire, SIMCA)
- Strong preference for experience in biopharmaceutical development and manufacturing, as well as experience with GMP data sources and applications
