The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery. This role manages shipments, tracks inventory, liaises with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams, and ensures compliance with regulatory and company standards, supporting operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Performance Areas (Including but not limited to)
Receive & inspect booking incoming goods (verify
quantity & quality vs. PO).
Updating goods received in on job bill of materials.
Updating goods received/shipped in Microsoft
Business Central
Placement of goods in designated locations.
Inventory management /record Keeping.
Maintains and keeps stock area tidy.
Input daily all purchase requests
Additional tasks:
Properly log incoming and outgoing items to ensure accurate stock
count.
Work closely with pre & post sales team and shipping of parts and providing tracking
information.
Work closely with project management team for shipping of equipment orders and parts to site.
Build relationships with shipping companies.
Actively source quotes for shipments and aim to achieve discounts on shipping.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Ownership of Inventory – issuing required parts & materials to production personnel as
necessary.
Generate inventory reports – conducting inventory monthly, reconciles inventory stock count
issues properly.
Ownership of outbound and incoming shipments
Reporting on expected deliveries dates vs. actual (customer shipments).
Review requisitions and place priority orders as needed.
