Position Overview
We are seeking three dedicated and reliable
Inpatient Pharmacists for a 3+ month contract opportunity near New Chicago, IN. The ideal candidates will bring recent inpatient experience, exceptional work ethic, and a supportive, collaborative approach to healthcare delivery.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week; rotating AM and PM shifts (no overnight shifts required).
- Weekend Coverage: Rotating weekends as needed.
- Dress Code: Business Casual
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify medication orders and patient profiles to ensure safe, precise, and appropriate drug therapy.
- Compound sterile preparations and IV admixtures following proper aseptic techniques and protocols.
- Provide comprehensive medication counseling and education to patients and caregivers.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to resolve medication-related issues and optimize outcomes.
- Maintain complete, accurate documentation of medication distribution, inventory, and regulatory compliance records.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited pharmacy program.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Indiana.
- Experience: Recent Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience, including hands-on experience with sterile compounding.
- Soft Skills: Outstanding work ethic, collaborative team mindset, strong critical thinking, and clear communication skills.
