Job Description
Integrated Medical Systems, Inc. (IMS) is seeking a highly adaptable, application-agnostic
Full Stack Developer to drive frontend architecture, modern user experience design, and overall application engineering for our core proprietary software platform. Operating across the full software development lifecycle, this role combines deep domain knowledge in modern user-interface development with strong general engineering skills across backend services, API integrations, and cloud infrastructure.
In this role, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, responsive, and secure web applications that interface cleanly with complex enterprise data layers. The ideal candidate thrives on building modular, reusable codebase architectures that remain flexible and software-agnostic, ensuring seamless integration across diverse enterprise workflows and healthcare environments.
Job Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of full-stack software development experience with a strong focus on frontend architecture and platform engineering.
- Front-end Expertise: Advanced proficiency in modern frontend tech stacks (TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3/SASS) and modern framework ecosystems (React, Angular, or Vue).
- Full-Stack Versatility: Strong proficiency in backend development (Node.js, Python, C#, or Java), RESTful API design, and asynchronous request handling.
- Architecture Principles: Practical experience with application-agnostic engineering, state management architectures, micro-services, and design patterns.
- Database Experience: Hands-on experience writing and optimizing complex database queries in SQL or NoSQL environments.
- Regulated Industry Knowledge: Exposure to software development within healthcare, health tech, or similarly regulated environments, including familiarity with HIPAA security guardrails.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical industry experience.
Job Responsibilities
Proprietary Platform Architecture & Frontend Development- Frontend System Design: Architect, build, and optimize high-performance, responsive web interfaces for our primary proprietary software platform using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue).
- Application-Agnostic Component Libraries: Design modular UI component libraries, micro-frontend structures, and design systems that decouple interface elements from specific backend data engines or legacy frameworks.
- Workflow Optimization & Accessibility: Translate intricate user requirements and operational workflows into streamlined, accessible interface solutions compliant with WCAG accessibility guidelines and healthcare UI/UX standards.
Full-Stack Engineering & API Integration- Backend & Service Layer Engineering: Develop secure, performant RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices, and business logic layers (using Node.js, Python, C#/.NET, or Java) supporting core platform functions.
- System Integration: Build application-agnostic middleware and integration pipelines to connect our proprietary platform with third-party software, cloud storage, external APIs, and enterprise data warehouses.
- Database Management: Design optimized queries, data models, and database schemas across relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB) storage solutions.
Secure Coding, Quality & DevOps- Healthcare Data Protection: Implement secure frontend and backend coding practices adhering to OWASP standards, ensuring strict protection of Protected Health Information (PHI) and HIPAA security controls.
- Automated Testing & Reliability: Drive comprehensive testing strategies (unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using tools like Jest, Cypress, or Playwright) to sustain software quality and reduce regression risks.
- CI/CD & Cloud Deployment: Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy applications through automated CI/CD pipelines across cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS) using containerized environments.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Interface Performance & Responsiveness: Achieve optimal rendering speeds, low latency, and superior core web vitals across all modules within the proprietary software platform.
- Code Quality & Test Coverage: Maintain high unit and integration test coverage across all new frontend components and service layers.
- System Interoperability: Deliver flexible, application-agnostic integration points that allow seamless feature rollout across varying client environments.
