About Soliant
At Soliant, we connect education, healthcare, and pharmacy professionals with organizations and communities that need their expertise. Our mission is simple: We make life better for those who make lives better. Behind that mission is a team committed to supporting our people, our clients, and the work they do every day. As a leading healthcare and education staffing company, we’ve made our imprint having been in business for over 30 years.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Compliance and Risk Manager who enjoys solving problems, building strong partnerships, and helping teams work safely and confidently.
In this role, you’ll lead our risk management programs and help identify and address risks that could affect our employees, clients, operations, and reputation. Your focus will include workers’ compensation, general liability, professional liability, workplace health and safety, and insurance management.
You’ll report to the General Counsel and work closely with company leaders, insurance brokers, insurers, and outside counsel to put practical solutions in place and strengthen our approach to managing risk.
How You’ll Support Your Team
You’ll guide and support assigned team members through coaching, regular feedback, professional development, and clear priorities. You’ll help create a team environment where people collaborate, take ownership, and look for ways to improve.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Soliant’s risk management efforts, keeping programs aligned with our business goals and priorities.
- Develop and improve strategies to reduce financial, operational, regulatory, legal, and reputational risks.
- Oversee our insurance portfolio, including workers’ compensation, general liability, professional liability, and other applicable coverage.
- Create and maintain clear policies, procedures, and controls that support consistent, compliant operations.
- Review incident trends, claims activity, and operational data to identify emerging risks and recommend steps to prevent future issues.
- Partner with Operations, Human Resources, and business leaders on workplace safety, injury prevention, return-to-work programs, and loss prevention.
- Support business continuity, crisis management, and emergency response planning so teams are prepared when disruptions occur.
- Build and maintain dashboards, key risk indicators, and reports that help leaders make informed decisions.
- Advise leadership on risk-related issues, emerging trends, and opportunities to improve performance and reduce exposure.
- Take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve.
What Will Help You Succeed
- An eye for detail: You’re thorough and communicate clearly in writing, conversation, and presentations.
- A practical approach to processes: You can build, improve, and maintain consistent procedures while balancing changing priorities.
- Strong relationships: You work well with others and build trust across teams.
- Analytical thinking: You can interpret data, spot trends, and turn findings into practical recommendations.
- Sound judgment: You handle confidential information carefully and make thoughtful decisions in complex or sensitive situations.
- A proactive mindset: You anticipate potential issues and develop plans to address them.
- Ownership and follow-through: You’re comfortable working independently, managing deadlines, and keeping projects moving.
- Comfort with technology: You’re proficient with Microsoft Office and related business software.
What You’ll Bring
- A bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least five years of risk management experience with a multi-state employer, insurance broker, third-party administrator, insurance carrier, or similar organization.
- Strong experience managing complex corporate insurance programs, including policy placement, renewals, and coverage reviews.
- Experience managing workers’ compensation, general liability, professional liability, and other casualty claims.
- Working knowledge of multi-state workers’ compensation laws, OSHA regulations, workplace safety standards, and claims management best practices.
- Experience using Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) to track, analyze, and report on claims, incidents, and risk data.
- The ability to analyze claims data, identify trends, and implement loss prevention or risk reduction initiatives.
- A track record of developing, implementing, and monitoring risk controls and process improvements.
