Position Summary
The Chemistry Lab Technician will be responsible for assisting the Chemistry team (Analysts and Management) on daily tasks related to the Laboratory functioning activities.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform routine (daily) verification of the calibration of equipment/ instruments such as Analytical Balances, pH meter, Conductivity meter, and any other that requires it. Keep log records up to date.
- Maintain clean, orderly, and safe laboratory work area.
- Complies with company policies and all applicable SOPs; complies with ISO 17025, cGMPs, cGLPs A2LA requirements and Quality Control Guidelines.
- Maintain familiarity on use of all applicable equipment, systems, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide assistance to all of the analysts in all workstations.
- Maintain all glassware clean and in the proper location for its use.
- Keep inventory of Standards, Reagents and materials received in the Lab.
- Keep and restock the Laboratory supplies as needed.
- Make disposal of Laboratory preparations/waste as needed.
- Make disposal of completed samples as needed.
- Assist with any other duties, special projects, as assigned.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry or related science field.
- Analytical laboratory experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of quality control systems is a plus.
- Entry level computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.
- Experience with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is a plus.
