Staff Pharmacist – Pittsburgh, PA (Direct Hire)
RPh on the Go is seeking Staff Pharmacists for a direct hire opportunity with a centralized pharmacy in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a great opportunity for pharmacists interested in working in a high-volume closed-door fulfillment environment while providing proactive patient support and clinical pharmacy services.
Term of Assignment: Direct-Hire
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Rotating schedule between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM)
About the Pharmacy:
The position is with a digital pharmacy platform that provides patients with transparent pricing, free home delivery, and personalized support for branded medications. The pharmacy supports a variety of therapeutic areas, including Ophthalmology, Dermatology, and GLP-1 medications.
Job Duties:
- Provide proactive patient counseling and medication education by phone, addressing questions related to new prescriptions, refills, side effects, adherence, and proper medication use
- Collaborate with prescribers and their offices to clarify prescriptions and address clinical issues that may delay dispensing
- Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy
- Perform pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions in a high-volume closed-door fulfillment environment, ensuring accuracy of drug, dose, quantity, and labeling prior to dispensing
- Assist pharmacy management staff with receiving, processing, and transferring patient prescriptions while owning the success of the transfer process from start to finish
Requirements:
- Clear and active pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania
- 0–6 years of pharmacist experience preferred
- Experience in retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacy is preferred
- New graduates will be considered
- Must be comfortable working a rotating schedule between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM
