A direct hire opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist position located in Nampa, ID. This role offers the chance to apply your pharmacy expertise in a high-volume, patient-focused environment supporting safe and effective medication use.
Schedule/Hours
- Monday through Friday
- Rotating shifts between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM (candidates must be comfortable with rotating shifts; scheduling details will be discussed during the phone screen)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive patient counseling and medication education via phone, addressing inquiries about new prescriptions, refills, side effects, adherence, and proper medication use
- Collaborate with prescribers and office staff to clarify prescriptions and resolve clinical issues that may delay dispensing
- Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy
- Perform pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions in a closed-door fulfillment setting, ensuring all aspects including drug, dose, quantity, and labeling are accurate prior to dispensing
- Assist the pharmacy manager with receiving, processing, and transferring prescriptions, managing transfer processes end-to-end for optimal success
Qualifications
- Active pharmacist license in Idaho with a clear standing
- 0-6 years of pharmacy practice experience, preferably in retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacy settings; new graduates are encouraged to apply
