Remote Staff Pharmacist – 13-Week Contract | Idaho License
RPh on the Go is seeking Staff Pharmacists for an exciting 13-week remote pharmacy assignment supporting a rapidly growing digital pharmacy operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacists interested in transitioning into a remote environment while combining prescription verification with direct patient consultation. New graduates and pharmacists with retail, mail-order, or specialty pharmacy experience are encouraged to apply.
Term of Assignment: 13 weeks (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Remote
Candidates may reside throughout the United States; however, an active Idaho Pharmacist license or willingness to obtain Idaho licensure is required.
Candidates residing in Boise, ID; St. Louis, MO; or Pittsburgh, PA are not eligible for the remote assignment but will still be considered for a permanent on-site role.
Schedule: Available shift options include:
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST
- 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST
- 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM EST
Candidates will be asked for their preferred shift. The team will make every effort to accommodate preferences; however, specific shifts cannot be guaranteed and will be discussed during the interview process.
Job Duties:
- Provide patient counseling and medication education by phone regarding new prescriptions, refills, side effects, adherence, and appropriate medication use
- Handle inbound and outbound patient calls in a professional, patient-focused manner
- Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy
- Perform pharmacist verification of prescriptions in a high-volume closed-door fulfillment environment
- Collaborate with prescribers and provider offices to clarify prescriptions and resolve clinical issues that may delay dispensing
- Assist with receiving, processing, and transferring patient prescriptions
- Help manage prescription transfers from initiation through successful completion
- Maintain a high level of accuracy while balancing prescription verification and patient consultation responsibilities
Requirements:
- Clear and active Pharmacist license in Idaho or willingness to obtain Idaho licensure promptly if offered
- Strong verbal communication, patient counseling, and interpersonal skills
- Retail, mail-order, or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
- Comfortable handling both inbound and outbound patient calls
- Comfortable working in a high-volume remote pharmacy environment

This position is approximately a 50/50 combination of prescription verification and clinical patient consultation, so strong communication skills are essential.
