The Patient Support Advocate acts as an extended resource for patients, working to secure clear outcomes on affordability applications and claims status. This role is critical to maintaining accurate, efficient, and quality-driven documentation throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Outbound calls to programs and payers to obtain claims and application status
- Inbound call engagement and facilitation to appropriate team members
- Fax management and facilitation across clients
- Data entry across EMR + internal CRMs
- Application approval and denial review
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment
- Experience working within a EMR/EHR system is a plus
- 2+ years in heavy outbound call environment
- Customer service experience and etiquette
- Experience in working in remote environment
