Role Overview
Rx relief is seeking a dynamic Specialty Pharmacy Manager / Pharmacist-in-Charge to direct clinical operations, lead a dedicated pharmacy team, and maintain top-tier accreditation standards. In this position, you will act as the primary clinical authority, driving high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency in a high-volume specialty setting.
Core Responsibilities
Clinical Operations & Patient Care: Serve as the designated PIC and primary clinical decision-maker. Review, authenticate, and dispense complex specialty medications with absolute precision. Address clinical flags, resolve provider queries, and deliver empathetic counseling and education to patients.
Team Supervision & Mentorship: Lead, coach, and oversee daily work streams for pharmacy technicians. Foster an environment centered on accountability, quality service, and continuous professional development.
Inventory & Accreditation Adherence: Oversee medication inventory management to eliminate waste and prevent expiration. Ensure full operational compliance with state/federal regulations, 340B rules, FDA guidelines, HIPAA/HITECH, and Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) mandates. Direct patient management initiatives to satisfy URAC and ACHC standards.
Quality Assurance & Reporting: Monitor daily workflows to maintain an audit-ready facility. Identify, document, and escalate operational metrics and quality improvement efforts to the Senior Manager of Pharmacy Practice.
Qualifications
Management Experience: At least 2 years of proven leadership in a pharmacy setting.
Specialty Expertise: Direct operational exposure to HRSA 340B programs within a specialty pharmacy, along with thorough mastery of URAC and ACHC accreditation frameworks.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with PioneerRx software, specifically handling billing and PV1 workflows.
Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical acumen, rigorous attention to detail, and a patient-first ethos.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written interaction skills for engaging seamlessly with patients, healthcare providers, and executive leadership.
