Compensation Range: $25.00-$28.00 per hour (e.g., the job posting is not necessarily reflective of actual compensation that may be earned, and actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as locations, education, experience, and skillset).
Hours Worked: Typically, Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week. However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned.
Position Summary
The Molecular Biologist II plays a key role in advancing innovative therapies for inflammatory and autoimmune diseases by executing cell-based assays and molecular biology techniques. This position focuses on investigating disease mechanisms, evaluating potential therapeutic targets, and contributing to the development of novel treatment strategies through cutting-edge research and experimental analysis.
Duties And Responsibilities
mRNA isolation from cells and tissues
Various cell-based and biochemical in vitro assays
Execution of non-radioactive cell-based assays including, but not limited to the following: cell proliferation, cytokine secretion, reporter assays, ELISAs, western blots, MSD and PCR.
Responsible for timely delivery & documentation of assay data in electronic notebooks
Participation in client meetings to provide process improvement recommendations.
Prepare a variety of equipment for testing using prescribed standards / specifications
Report safety, instrument and technical issues to the appropriate contacts.
Maintain supplies, lab cleanliness and analytical instrumentation, as required.
Prepare stock solutions, and keeping shelves and reagent stocked.
Maintain up to date knowledge of current methods and products to be tested.
Performs testing independently and with limited to no supervision from management.
Identify, troubleshoot and provide suggested technical solutions to clients and management.
Prepares written technical reports.
Perform basic data analysis as assigned
Assist with training
Follow the guidelines set forth with clients and in the Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures.
Comply with clients and Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services, Inc management systems in accordance with appropriate regulatory agencies.
Adhere to the requirements of the BV-CPS Quality System.

Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Molecular/Cell Biology, or closely related field
Master’s degree and Research experience is preferred.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in related research
Biology experience including, but not limited to: mammalian cell culture techniques, cell passaging and cryopreservation of adherent and suspension cells, transient and stable cell line generation
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
