Position Overview
Rx relief is looking for a detail-oriented
Pharmacy Technician for a dynamic order entry role near Hollywood, FL. In this desk-based position, you will accurately enter prescription details, manage intake triaging, and navigate specialized pharmacy service workflows. You will collaborate closely with team members and healthcare providers to ensure accurate, timely processing for patient profiles and medications.
Key Responsibilities
- Prescription Processing: Accurately transcribe and input incoming prescription data into the pharmacy management system in a prompt manner.
- Triage & Workflow Management: Review clinical information, prioritize incoming orders, and apply specific procedures across various pharmacy programs.
- Profile & Data Maintenance: Update patient records, verify prescription details, and safeguard data precision.
- Communication & Outreach: Place outbound calls to medical practices and patients to resolve prescription inquiries and gather missing details.
- Team Collaboration: Assist staff pharmacists and colleagues with daily office operations and complete additional tasks delegated by management.
Qualifications & Skills
Requirements:- Active Florida Registered Pharmacy Technician license (RPhT).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy, typing proficiency, and foundational computer literacy.
- Solid analytical skills to interpret prescription data and troubleshoot issues.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, desk-based office environment. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform occasional light lifting.
Preferred:- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA).
- 1+ years of dedicated order entry experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Familiarity with general pharmacy software, order entry protocols, medications, and medical supplies.
- Strong pharmacy math abilities and basic record-keeping expertise.
