Make a meaningful impact on student athletes by supporting their health and safety as a full-time Athletic Trainer for a school near Auburn, WA. This contract position runs through December 2026 and offers the opportunity to be an integral part of the sports program, working directly with teams and traveling with them during state competitions. You’ll use your expertise in sports medicine to ensure athletes receive top-notch care in collaboration with the Department of Health.
Preferred Qualifications
- Board certification in Athletic Training (required)
- Master's degree in a related field (required)
- Experience providing sports medicine services to youth or adolescent athletes, especially in a school or educational setting
- Ability to travel with teams for state competitions as needed
- Knowledge of Department of Health standards for athletic trainers
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with coaches, students, and staff
- Flexibility to work full-time hours onsite, including some evenings or weekends depending on the athletic schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation services for student athletes
- Provide immediate care during practices and games
- Collaborate with coaches to design safe training and conditioning programs
- Accompany teams to state competitions, managing injury response as necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation according to Department of Health guidelines
- Support athletes’ return-to-play decisions in collaboration with medical professionals
