Soliant is seeking
experienced Behavior Technicians, Behavior Aides, and qualified Paraprofessionals to provide 1:1 behavioral support to students across
K–12 settings. Candidates should have demonstrated experience managing significant behaviors and be confident providing calm, consistent, and professional support in a school environment.
Rolling submissions are being accepted for the 2026–2027 school year. Candidates will be hired as caseloads arise. Opportunities may extend through the current school year, ESY, and the 2026–2027 school year, with continued placement based on performance.
Position Details
- K–12 openings available: Please indicate your preferred grade level when applying.
- Hours: 35+/week
- Duration: 08/24/2026 - 06/04/2027
- Opportunities for current year, ESY and NSY; provisional on performance for the rest of the semester.
Compensation
- Behavior Aide / Paraprofessional: $20–$25/hour, depending on experience
- Behavior Technician: $20–$25/hour, depending on experience
These positions offer competitive compensation based on the level of behavioral support and experience required.
Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 behavioral support to students with a range of behavioral needs.
- Maintain a calm, professional, and non-reactive approach when responding to challenging behaviors.
- Proactively identify triggers and utilize appropriate redirection and de-escalation strategies.
- Follow each student's Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) and individualized support strategies.
- Track and monitor behaviors, triggers, responses, and other relevant student data.
- Support students who may demonstrate aggression, elopement, or other intense behaviors.
- Assist with toileting when required, based on student needs.
- Provide additional classroom or student support when needed beyond the assigned 1:1 caseload.
- Remain flexible regarding student needs, schedules, and responsibilities.
- Participate in required district and Soliant credentialing and safety training.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of school-based behavior experience required.
- Experience working with students with significant or intensive behavioral needs.
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
- Strong de-escalation, redirection, and behavior-management skills.
- Reliable and professional with a strong attendance history.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to successfully clear required background checks without requiring district approval.
- Experience with behavior data collection and implementation of behavior plans preferred.
- CPI or other safety/de-escalation training is a plus.
- Candidates must be comfortable working with students who may exhibit aggression and/or elopement.
- Paraprofessionals/Behavior Aides may be considered if they meet the experience and caseload requirements.
- RBTs may be considered even without an active license; supervision is not currently available.
