Position Overview
Jefferson Parish Schools is seeking a dedicated and qualified
Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to provide speech and language services to students during the 2026–2027 school year. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work within a collaborative educational environment while supporting students' communication, academic, and social development.
Specific school assignment(s) and caseload details will be determined by the district based on staffing needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct speech-language evaluations, assessments, and screenings
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility meetings, and other required school-based meetings
- Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as needed
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Louisiana Speech-Language Pathology License
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- School-based experience preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Screening & Credentialing Requirements
- Successful completion of all district onboarding requirements
- Must complete all required Jefferson Parish Human Resources documentation
- Background check and any additional district credentialing requirements
