Job Purpose
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing day-to-day business operations to ensure efficiency, quality, compliance, and alignment with organizational goals. This role focuses on improving processes, managing resources, and supporting teams to drive operational excellence and sustainable growth.
Job Responsibilities:
-Work at all times in a manner which gives the highest consideration to safety, as defined by local regulations and Company procedures, this includes the use of PPE;
-Monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to the Head of the Business Unit across the business departments
-Provide leadership, coaching and development for all reports to allow their potential and in turn the companies potential to be reached
-Assess, implement and maintain structures, policies and procedures to enable a legally compliant and operationally effective business
-Set, monitor and report KPI’s in accordance with annual targets for the site working with the HR Business Partner
-Continually assess and monitor loading of the business vs capacity of staff and the facility to pro-actively predict and effectively plan for the future in cooperation with sales
-Employment and termination of staff following company procedures and approvals working with HR
-When achieved, assist quality with implementing and maintain accreditation with ISO 9001
-Planning of Labor loading forecasts with the department managers to give visibility for forecast peaks and troughs
-Work with departments to reduce OPEX, and increase margins through reducing re-work, inefficiencies and errors.
-Be the escalation support to staff, supported or elevated to the Business Unit Head.
-Assist Accounting to achieve monthly goals / targets for AR, DSO and Inventory turns
-Assist in the alignment and transfer of processes and or knowledge between Esco global locations
-Work with Administrators and IT to purchase and setup or troubleshoot IT systems for new, ongoing or leaving staff
-Ensure Esco Technologies Inc Healthcare ongoing training plans for staff members
-Work with Shipping / Logistics for OTD, shipping cost reduction, damage and errors in coordination or communications.
-Responsible for Project Management, Production Management, Engineering Management, Service Management and Quality Management.
