Job responsibilities:
Purchase materials needed for manufacturing and ensure they arrive on time.
Create and manage purchase orders using SAP/ERP systems.
Work with suppliers to confirm pricing, delivery dates, and resolve supply issues.
Coordinate with production, planning, warehouse, quality, and sourcing teams to keep production running smoothly.
Maintain accurate purchasing and material master data in SAP.
Monitor inventory levels and help avoid material shortages or excess stock.
Track supplier performance and identify potential supply risks.
Attend meetings with internal teams and suppliers to discuss material status and delivery timelines.
Support new product launches by ensuring required materials are available.
Follow ISO and cGMP quality standards and document changes when required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Mathematics, or a related field.
OR High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of relevant purchasing or planning experience.
4+ years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
3+ years of experience using SAP or other ERP/MRP systems.
Strong experience with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, IF functions).
Preferred Skills
CPIM, CSCP, or similar Supply Chain certification.
Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in ISO/cGMP regulated manufacturing.
Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
