About the Role (Job Summary)
As an Operations Supervisor on our Night Shift team, you’ll help keep our distribution center’s shipping department running safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You’ll lead a team of warehouse associates, support daily operational planning, and foster a positive, high‑performance environment. Your leadership helps ensure that life‑saving medications reach patients who depend on them every day.
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 9:00 PM–Completion (hours vary based on business volume)
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
- Support the Operations Manager in planning, organizing, and directing night shift warehouse activities.
- Lead, coach, and develop associates and lead staff to ensure high morale, work quality, and performance standards.
- Train team members and manage performance through consistent feedback and accountability.
- Identify root‑cause issues and implement effective solutions to maintain efficient workflow.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and company regulations and safety policies.
- Assist with managing operational expenses, overtime, and employee turnover.
- Maintain high standards of equipment functionality, warehouse organization, and housekeeping.
- Promote teamwork, communication, and an inclusive culture across the shift.
Basic Requirements (Career Framework – Minimum Education & Typical Experience)
- Typically requires 3+ years of subject matter experience
- including exhibiting leadership capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Typically requires 3+ years of operational experience, including 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience within warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments.
Critical Skills / Experience
- Demonstrated experience leading, managing, and developing frontline staff.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and make sound operational decisions.
- Proven ability to drive employee engagement and foster a positive team culture.
- Flexibility to work Sunday–Thursday night shift, with a typical start time of 5 PM, and adjust hours or work overtime based on business needs.
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, manufacturing, or distribution operations.
- Skills in interviewing, coaching, performance documentation, and employee relations.
- Experience working with DEA-regulated inventory (a plus).
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Ability to interpret and analyze operational data; MS Access experience a plus.
Description of Travel or In‑Office and Physical Requirements
- This is a fully on‑site role in a high‑energy distribution center environment.
- May require working various shifts, including nights and occasionally days, based on business needs.
- Some overtime may be required.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with warehouse operations, such as standing, walking, lifting, and operating material handling equipment as needed.
