Job Summary
The Data Analyst is responsible for triaging data cases through a deep understanding of Outcomes' datasets, providing ad hoc reports for internal teams, and serving as a quality assurance expert. This role also monitors data load processes, escalates issues to the appropriate teams, validates Jira tickets, and creates and maintains technical documentation. The Data Analyst is expected to continuously expand industry knowledge and stay current on internal processes and product functionality by leveraging Confluence, release notes, and other internal documentation resources.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Data Case Management
- Monitor Data Team tickets to ensure cases are completed in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and triage data-related cases.
- Create and manage Jira tickets while providing updates to internal teams and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Complete data requests, including ad hoc reporting.
Data Quality Assurance
- Perform quality assurance (QA) on payer reporting, dashboards, and source data.
- Validate source data against business intelligence (BI) tools and dashboards.
- Validate data within data warehouses following engineering changes.
- Validate data used for internal and external Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
Reporting & Monitoring
- Attend and actively participate in team and department meetings.
- Support reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs), late data, overall data health, and related metrics.
- Monitor data loading processes and coordinate remediation efforts, including working with PMS partners when data gaps are identified.
Documentation
- Create, maintain, and update documentation related to data ingestion, reporting processes, and operational procedures.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or four (4)+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- One (1)+ year of SQL experience and knowledge of relational database concepts.
- One (1)+ year of experience in a Business Analyst or similar analytical role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Knowledge of business analysis methodologies.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA requirements.
