This opportunity is for a Pharmacy Technician position in a retail environment, offering a temp-to-hire arrangement. The role is based in Kalamazoo, MI, and involves working consistent day shifts with rotating start times, providing a varied yet structured schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately.
- Manage inventory and maintain proper storage of pharmaceuticals.
- Operate the Pioneer RX computer system to process prescriptions and maintain patient records.
- Provide excellent customer service in a retail pharmacy setting.
- Ensure compliance with all state pharmacy regulations and standards.
Schedule/Hours
- Monday through Friday, 8.5-hour shifts.
- Rotating start times at 7:30 am, 8:00 am, 9:30 am, or 11:30 am.
- Location closes at 6:00 pm on Fridays.
- No weekend shifts initially, though this may change over time.
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan pharmacy technician license.
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably in retail.
- Familiarity with the Pioneer RX computer system is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
