Schedule & Hours
- 4 ten-hour shifts per week
- Variable start times between 6:00 am – 8:00 am
- On-call: 1 day each week and every 4th weekend
Qualifications
- Current Nursing - ORT experience
- Familiarity with orthopedic procedures and/or robotic surgery preferred
- Valid nursing license for Iowa or compact states
- BLS certification (current)
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, high acuity surgical department
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in setup, turnover, and breakdown of OR suites for orthopedic and robotic procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and safety protocols
- Provide patient advocacy and support throughout surgical experiences
- Demonstrate professionalism and accountability in all perioperative duties
