A veterinary compounding pharmacy is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support their non-sterile and some sterile compounding operations on a temp-to-hire basis. This role offers an immediate start and involves working in a fast-paced environment, shipping over 200 prescriptions daily. The ideal candidate will thrive in production-focused settings and work alongside pharmacists and a dedicated team of technicians.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and compound veterinary medications, primarily non-sterile with some sterile preparations
- Package, label, and prepare prescriptions for shipment accurately
- Maintain compounding equipment and work areas in accordance with SOPs
- Assist pharmacists with daily workflow and production demands
- Follow all pharmacy procedures and quality assurance protocols
- Maintain accurate documentation and manage inventory as required
- Support a high-volume compounding operation while ensuring quality standards
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Active Pharmacy Technician registration or certification as per state requirements
- Previous experience in a compounding pharmacy setting is required
- Proven skills in non-sterile compounding; sterile compounding experience preferred
- PTCB certification preferred but not mandatory
- Experience with veterinary or animal compounding is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to strictly follow SOPs
- Ability to perform effectively in a high-volume, production-oriented environment
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to learn new workflows quickly
- Collaborative mindset and a strong work ethic

Schedule
Monday through Friday with occasional flexibility depending on production volume
