About the Role
The Senior Manager, Global Planning & Logistics is responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of the company's global supply chain operations. This role oversees end-to-end planning, inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and international logistics across multiple regions while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
The Senior Manager develops and implements global supply chain strategies that improve customer service, optimize inventory, reduce logistics costs, and enhance operational efficiency. Working closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and Information Technology, this position drives cross-functional collaboration and supports strategic initiatives including ERP implementations, distribution network optimization, and global business expansion.
By leveraging data-driven decision making and industry best practices, the Senior Manager ensures a resilient, scalable, and high-performing global supply chain that supports the company's long-term growth and competitive advantage.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, logistics management, or operations with significant global responsibilities.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and global supply chain initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of international logistics, transportation management, customs regulations, inventory optimization, and global distribution networks.
- Advanced proficiency with ERP systems, supply chain planning software, Microsoft Excel, and business intelligence tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- APICS CPIM, CSCP, CLTD, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience implementing ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar enterprise platforms.
- Demonstrated success leading global supply chain transformation initiatives and multi-regional logistics operations.
- Experience managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carrier negotiations, and global transportation sourcing.
- Familiarity with sustainability initiatives and environmentally responsible logistics practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global planning and logistics strategies that align with business objectives and support long-term organizational growth.
- Lead demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities to improve forecast accuracy and inventory performance.
- Oversee global transportation, warehousing, import/export operations, and distribution activities to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of products.
- Manage relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to optimize service, cost, and operational performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce supply chain costs, improve service levels, and standardize global processes.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize data analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead cross-functional projects supporting ERP implementations, new product launches, facility transitions, and business integration initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies while mitigating supply chain risks.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic initiatives that enhance supply chain capabilities and improve overall business performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop planning and logistics professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
