Job Summary:
The Operations Lead works within the Supply Chain and Warehouse Team, providing hands-on support for both warehouse operations and planning functions. This is a full-time, on-site position that requires daily reporting to the warehouse. The Operations Lead ensures efficient execution of day-to-day activities while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and continuous improvement.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Support all warehouse duties outlined in the Warehouse Associate Level 3 job description.
- Create and maintain training documentation for relevant processes; train team members and update the skills matrix accordingly.
- Oversee daily operational activities by leveraging KPIs and reports to drive performance and ensure expected results.
- Supervise and audit cycle counts and support the annual physical inventory process.
- Assist with operational planning activities, including managing pick tickets, work orders, and system administration.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to maintain adequate inventory of parts and supplies.
- Manage damaged and non-conforming products appropriately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Provide support to the Operations Planning Manager as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma required; minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience, including shipping and receiving using UPS/FedEx software—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend intermediate-level instructions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Basic math skills required, including the ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, and to multiply and divide by 10s and 100s.
- Ability to perform mathematical operations related to weight, volume, distance, ratio, and percentage may also be required.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- General computer knowledge required, with proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to write and maintain process documentation to support training initiatives.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
