The Role
The Manager, Maintenance Excellence & AI Transformation will serve as the global technical champion responsible for driving the digital transformation strategy across Facilities & Engineering Maintenance operations. This role will lead enterprise initiatives focused on AI-enabled maintenance excellence, FEEVA governance, EAM optimization, predictive maintenance strategies, asset data integrity, and operational process standardization across the Moderna network.
This position will partner cross-functionally with Facilities & Engineering, Quality, Digital, Manufacturing, Validation, and EH&S teams to implement scalable AI solutions that improve reliability, compliance, data governance, operational efficiency, and maintenance performance across all global sites.
The role will act as the business owner and transformation lead for Maintenance Excellence programs, ensuring alignment between digital innovation, regulatory compliance, asset lifecycle management, and operational execution.
Here's What You’ll Do
- Lead the global Maintenance Excellence strategy across all Moderna sites, establishing standardized maintenance processes, governance models, and operational performance expectations.
- Serve as the Facilities & Engineering technical champion for AI-driven transformation initiatives focused on predictive maintenance, intelligent workflows, data analytics, automation, and digital operational excellence.
- Lead the development and implementation of AI-enabled solutions to improve maintenance planning, PM optimization, asset reliability, troubleshooting, deviation reduction, and technician effectiveness.
- Drive Maintenance Excellence governance and operational excellence initiatives to ensure data integrity, compliance, traceability, workflow standardization, and inspection readiness across all maintenance-related systems and records.
- Partner closely with Digital, Information Systems, and enterprise technology teams to define the future-state roadmap for EAM, AI tools, analytics platforms, automation technologies, and connected maintenance systems.
- Develop and implement enterprise KPI strategies leveraging AI, automation, and business intelligence tools to monitor maintenance performance, compliance health, asset reliability, backlog management, PM effectiveness, and operational efficiency.
- Champion predictive and condition-based maintenance programs using reliability-centered maintenance methodologies and advanced analytics.
- Partner closely with Quality Assurance and Validation to ensure all maintenance systems, AI tools, digital workflows, and automation initiatives remain compliant with GMP expectations and data integrity requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing operational viscosity, improving technician productivity, minimizing equipment downtime, and enhancing maintenance execution maturity across the network.
- Support strategic initiatives related to smart manufacturing, digital plant operations, connected worker technologies, and future-state maintenance transformation programs.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)
Education: Degree
Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in Facilities & Engineering, Maintenance Operations, EAM administration, Reliability or related technical operations environments.
Specific Certifications or Training: None

The salary range for this role is $109,200.00 - $174,600.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An individual’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and business or organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity award, subject to company plan eligibility criteria and individual performance.
