About the Role
Rx relief is seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking Pharmacist in Charge to lead our specialized Non-Commercial, Non-Dispensing Pharmacy. This is not your typical retail or hospital pharmacy role. Instead, you will play a pivotal part in managing a sophisticated, non-dispensing compliance and clinical hub.
As the PIC, you will be the driving force behind our regulatory strategy, operational efficiency, and clinical case management support. Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Compliance
Regulatory Ownership: Ensure total compliance with all federal and state pharmacy regulations, actively maintaining the Texas NCNDP licensure.
National Expansion: Spearhead the process to obtain and maintain pharmacy licensures across multiple states to support company growth and redundancy.
Workflow Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including the swift review and processing of prescription orders and referrals to assist the intake team.
Strategic Scaling: Lead the development of policies and procedures for future dispensing capabilities as needed, and support our existing dispensing pharmacy workflows.
Team Development & Technology Integration
Staff Mentorship: Supervise immediate pharmacy staff and design an impactful training program for pharmacy support technicians.
System Optimization: Assist in deploying and integrating modern pharmacy management systems and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to ensure a highly efficient, seamless patient intake process.
Clinical Oversight & Case Management
Prior Authorization & Appeals Support: Serve as a clinical subject matter expert for the case management team, reviewing evidence-based data to help draft effective medical necessity letters and appeals.
Patient Advocacy: Conduct direct patient consultations and manage clinical programs that focus on maximizing positive health outcomes.
Position Requirements
Education: BS in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program.
Licensure: Current, unrestricted Texas Pharmacist License in good standing. Ability and willingness to obtain additional state licenses are required.
Experience: * Minimum of 3–5 years of professional pharmacy experience.
Technical Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint) and comfortable adapting to new EHR and pharmacy tech platforms.
Core Competencies: A self-motivated, organized leader with exceptional communication skills and a flexible mindset tailored for a growing business.
Bonus Qualifications: Board certification in pharmacotherapy, specialty pharmacy, or a related field is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Routine keyboarding and clear verbal communication.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as required.
