We are seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor for a full-time, onsite opportunity with an animal health compounding pharmacy in Bakersfield, CA. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily pharmacy operations, leading a team of pharmacists, ensuring compliance with compounding standards, and driving quality and process improvements.
Term of Assignment: Direct Hire | Start Date: ASAP
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 8:15 AM – 5:15 PM
- Full-Time, Onsite
Job Duties:
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacists
- Establish productivity and quality expectations
- Oversee daily compounding operations and workflow
- Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> standards
- Maintain training records and proper compounding procedures
- Assist with drug selection for dispensing and compounded preparations
- Identify and implement process and formulation improvements
- Collaborate with pharmacy leadership and cross-functional teams
- Ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
Requirements:
- Active California Pharmacist license in good standing
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
- 2+ years of pharmacy management experience in a lab setting
- 2–5 years of compounding experience
- Strong knowledge of USP <795>, <797>, <800>, State Board regulations, and 503A requirements
- Proven leadership, communication, and mentoring abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary starting at $160,000+ annually, plus bonus potential, based on experience
