Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We're seeking an experienced
Pharmacist for a full-time, 13-week contract with an established mail-order specialty pharmacy located just outside Nashville. Responsibilities
- Perform Pharmacist Verification 1 (PV1) and Pharmacist Verification 2 (PV2)
- Complete final prescription verification prior to dispensing
- Verify correct medication, strength, quantity, labeling, and directions
- Ensure prescription information matches the original hard copy
- Maintain accuracy and compliance in a high-volume mail-order pharmacy
- Utilize the WellSky pharmacy management system
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety
Requirements
- Active Tennessee Pharmacist license in good standing
- 2–3 years of recent high-volume pharmacist experience
- Mail order, specialty, or retail pharmacy experience
- Experience performing final verification of prescriptions
- Experience using pharmacy software systems (WellSky experience is a plus)
- Positive attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment
- Willingness to accept a temporary assignment
- Ability to start ASAP
